Deferrals of share awards are required, under the terms of the 1997 Cincinnati Bell Inc. Executive Deferred
Compensation Plan, to be invested in common shares of the Company for a period of at least six months.
Shares deferred are payable upon the termination of employment in two annual installments beginning the
later of six months following the date of termination of employment or March 1 of the year following the
year in which the executive terminates his employment with the Company.
(b) Amounts represent the closing price of the shares acquired by each of the executives on February 27, 2009
($1.66), which was the date such awards vested.
