products, which drives Fioptics household ARPU to
well over $100 per month.
The success of Fioptics and our DSL high-speed
internet service reminds us that Cincinnati Bell’s
wireline services remain very important to consumers.
In a saturated market, we increased our high-speed
internet subscribers by 9,600 to 244,000 total
subscribers at the end of 2009, a 4% increase compared
to 2008.

Solid Outlook for 2010
In closing, Cincinnati Bell experienced an exciting and
eventful 2009. In the face of economic uncertainties, we
delivered attractive earnings per share and strong cash
flows, for which our shareholders were rewarded with a
79% increase to our stock price. We opportunistically
completed $925 million of financings, which
established a firm financial platform for future growth
in our data center operations.
We plan to grow our data center business in 2010,
which we believe provides our shareholders with the
best long-term return on their capital. We began
investing several years ago in the data center business. It
was a very attractive investment for us, as it provided a
complementary offering to our traditional connectivity
products and makes those other products more relevant
to our customers. The results of this investment have
been very impressive. We have organically built one of
the largest data center companies in the country that
focuses almost exclusively on enterprise class customers.
Over the last five years, we have grown our revenue in
this business at a 14% cumulative average growth rate
(CAGR), and, because of the operating leverage of this
business, this results in an even higher Adjusted
EBITDA CAGR of 28%.
