86年05月 ：公司設立，資本額新台幣5佰萬元。
86年11月 ：獲得WINDOWS CE 之授權。
87年02月 ：研發二部及相關管理單位搬遷至桃園。
87年03月 ：配合業務需要，增資至新台幣1億9仟5佰萬元。
87年03月 ：掌上型電腦被NSTL認證合格(世界第一個)。
87年03月 ：掌上型電腦在CeBIT展得最佳產品獎。
87年04月 ：掌上型電腦在Comdex Spring展得最佳產品獎。
87年05月 ：掌上型電腦正式量產上市(世界第一個)。
87年06月 ：掌上型電腦在紐約PC Expo展得最佳產品獎。
87年07月 ：獲財政部核准公開發行。
87年10月 ：規劃自建廠房，並增資至新台幣10億元整。
88年09月 ：通過ISO 9001國際品質認證。
88年11月 ：Wombat產品獲etown最佳購買產品獎(Best of Best)。
89年06月 ：代工產品iPAQ 36XX 彩色Pocket PC正式量產出貨，並獲得各
雜誌極佳評價。
89年09月 ：增資至新台幣12億5仟萬元整。
89年12月 ：通過ISO 14001國際品質認證。
90年04月 ：企業總部暨新建廠房落成啟用。
90年07月 ：變更公司名稱為宏達國際電子股份有限公司。
90年08月 ：增資至新台幣12億7仟6佰萬元整。
91年03月 ：獲證期會核准股票掛牌上市。
91年05月 ：推出全球第一台搭載微軟 Pocket PC Phone Edition軟體平
台的Wireless Pocket PC。
91年06月 ：盈餘轉增資至新台幣16億2仟7佰2拾萬元整。
91年10月 ：推出全球第一台搭載微軟Smart phone 2002軟體平臺的智慧型
