Oregon and Pennsylvania).
VOLUNTEER DIRECTOR
Motivated by her interest in
improving long-term care services,
Margot Seay of Tennessee began
volunteering with AARP in 2001.
In 2012, she was named AARP’s
first National Volunteer Director.
Her input will help enhance the
experiences of AARP’s 66,000 state-
managed volunteers. Service is a
family hallmark. Margot’s husband,
Bunky, is a retired engineer who
volunteers time to recruit retirees
with manufacturing and industry
experience to help recharge the
economic base in Kingsport,
Tennessee. He also delivers Meals
on Wheels.
AGE-FRIENDLY COMMMUNITIES: AARP
intitiatives helped to make communities more
walkable and age-friendly.
