12 AARP 2012 YEAR IN REVIEW
MAKING LIFE
Dedicated volunteers shared lifetimes of experience in community service
throughout the year, such as by organizing food drives and improving
pedestrian safety. Volunteering through AARP was a great way for people
to meet new people and improve the lives of their neighbors. Caregiving
resources, food drives and street-safety improvements were among the many
ways AARP helped make life better for everyone not just our members.

RESOURCE CENTER
Every day, people care for loved
ones by driving them to the doctor,
buying groceries, helping around
the house or providing medical
care. These caregivers battle
bravely, often making decisions by
gut instinct. Not surprisingly, while
juggling work and multiple family
obligations, they often feel isolated
and alone.
