A textbook start for Porsche: as the 55 participants get started, the three 919 Hybrids are in first, second and third
place. Already on the first lap, Timo Bernhard (start number 17) overtakes Neel Jani (18) and moves into the lead.
NicoHülkenberg (19) gets passed by the three Audis and falls back into sixth place at the beginning of the third lap.
Timo Bernhard is already in full competition mode: “What a start. It’s getting straight to the point.”
