Hedges with a positive fair value that satisfy the
criteria for hedge accounting in accordance with
IAS 39 are composed as follows:
27.5 Long-term investments
Long-term investments consist of bonds and other
fixed-income securities, shares and other non-fixed-
income securities.
Long-term investments are classified as follows:
36,251 million of the long-term investments
are listed on a stock exchange.
Remeasurement gains and losses for unhedged
available-for-sale financial instruments were taken
directly as additions to the revaluation reserve in the
amount of 255 million. Remeasurement gains and
losses amounting to 8 million were withdrawn from
equity and recognized in the income statement due
to the disposal of long-term investments. There were
no impairments as defined by IAS 39.109.
28. Current financial instruments
Current financial instruments are classified as avail-
able for sale. They include all financial instruments
of the Group that are not classified as noncurrent
financial instruments or as investment securities from
financial services. These financial instruments are
carried at their fair values in accordance with IAS 39.
As these instruments were marked-to-market
in previous periods, the first-time application of
IAS 39 did not result in any measurement changes.
31 million of the financial instruments are
held by the Guipuzcoana group, and 8 million by
the Danzas group.
