Around the world, Samsung Electronics is widely acknowledged as a premium
brand. This is due, in large part, to Samsung Electronics’ innovative use of
breakthrough technology and commitment to elegant, functional style. Our
design philosophy centers on the user, seeking to stir the emotions and
deliver refined enjoyment that pushes the envelope.
Samsung Electronics continues to release a steady stream of innovative,
premium products that earn worldwide acclaim for design and technological
excellence. Samsung Electronics keeps garnering design awards from
international industry gatherings, including iF (International Forum Design
Hannover) in Germany, and IDEA and ICES, both in the US.
Recent award-winning products cover a broad range, including refrigera-
tors, printers, mobile phones, notebook PCs, TFT-LCD monitors, PDP TVs,
camcorders, DVD players and vacuum cleaners. A total of 36 Samsung
Electronics products have been honored by iF over the last six years, with
four iF product awards in 2003 and eight in 2004. The Design for Asia
Award (Hong Kong) went to the SGH-T100, which has become the world’s
best selling single model mobile phone at over ten million units sold.
Samsung Electronics continues to revolutionize mobile communications, and
recognition as the world’s best is widespread. In Norway, the leading daily
newspaper called Samsung Electronics “the Mercedes Benz of mobile
phones.” In a “World’s Best Mobile Phones” cover story in the German magazine
Connect, Samsung Electronics took six of the top ten places, including number
one with the P400. In China, Samsung Anycall is known as the best phone to
give or get.
The brand continues to grow, and we continue to do our best to become
the world’s best company.
