International revenues totaled $66.6 million, $7.3 million, and $2.6 million for the years ended December 31, 2008, 2007 and 2006,
respectively.
Geographic information for long-lived assets is as follows (in thousands):
The Company manages its working capital on a consolidated basis. In addition, segment assets are not reported to, or used by, the chief
operating decision maker to allocate resources to or assess performance of the segments and therefore, pursuant to SFAS No. 131, total segment
assets have not been disclosed.
4. BALANCE SHEET COMPONENTS
Short-Term Investments
In connection with the FTD acquisition, the Company liquidated its short-term investments portfolio and recognized gains of $0.3 million
during the year ended December 31, 2008. At December 31, 2008, the Company had no short-term investments. Cash and cash equivalents were
$104.5 million at December 31, 2008, compared to cash and cash equivalents and short-term investments of $218.3 million at December 31,
2007.
Short-term investments at December 31, 2007 consisted of the following (in thousands):
Gross unrealized gains and losses are presented net of tax in accumulated other comprehensive income (loss) on the consolidated balance
sheets. The Company had no material realized gains or losses from the sale of short-term investments in the years ended December 31, 2007 and
2006. The Company did not have any gross unrealized losses in its short-term investments at December 31, 2007.
