Medical Endoscopes - Clinical
Application and Market Opportunity
Introduction to medical flexible endoscopes
Medical Flexible Endoscopes
Flexible endoscopes are used by physicians to
examine the interior of human organs (such as
esophagus, stomach, duodenum, colon, lung,
etc.) and to assist in minimally invasive medical
procedures pertaining to the observation and
treatment of disease in these organs. Although
the most common use of flexible endoscopes so
far has been in the area of colo-rectal cancer
screening, flexible endoscopy is also gaining
prominence in assisting the observation and
treatment of disease in esophageal cancer,
gastric cancer, lung cancer, etc.
