I’ve been with Navy
Federal since the day
I was born,” said
Ben Russell. Ben’s
father, who served in the
Navy, signed him up
right away. That was 24
years ago. Ben has relied
on Navy Federal for
financial solutions ever
since, including a mort-
gage for his recent first
home purchase in
Reston, VA, with wife
Erin, his high school
sweetheart.
After getting the
runaround from their
realtor’s financing
company, the Russells
called Navy Federal on
a Friday and by Monday
were approved for a
Veterans Choice
Mortgage, based on
Ben’s eligibility as a
former Marine. “I was
just kicking myself
that I didn’t go to
Navy Federal in the
first place,” he said.
Erin appreciated the
personal attention.“I
felt like we had some-
one who was working
with us.”
With full-time jobs
and the move, the
Russells don’t have a
lot of free time. But
they enjoy the time
they spend improving
their ballroom dancing
skills and watching
Washington Redskins
football at family
gatherings. They rely
on Navy Federal Online®
Account Access and
Web Bill Pay for man-
aging their accounts
and plan to open a
Money Market Savings
Account in the near
future. “I like knowing
I belong to the largest
credit union in the
world,” Ben said. “It’s
good to belong to
something like that.”
