16. Segment Information
The Group operates in the following business.
“Printing and Solutions” consists of sales and production of fax machines, printers, MFCs (multi-function centers),
electronic stationeries and typewriters.
“Personal and Home” consists of sales and production of domestic sewing machines.
“Machinery and Solution” consists of sales and production of industrial sewing machines and machine tools.
“Others” consists of network karaoke services, information distribution services for cellular phones, real estate, leas-
ing parts and other areas of business.
Information about business segments, geographic segments and sales to foreign customers of the Group for the
years ended March 31, 2008 and 2007 is as follows:
