SOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drectors’ and Audt ommttee’s responsbltes
The Drectors are responsble for
• the preparaton and far presentaton of the onsoldated
Fnancal Statements n accordance wth IFRSs as adopted by
the EU and Part 9 of Book 2 of the Netherlands vl ode, and
for the preparaton of the Report of the Drectors n accordance
wth Part 9 of Book 2 of the Netherlands vl ode
• the preparaton and far presentaton of the NV ompany
Accounts n accordance wth Unted Kngdom accountng
standards and Part 9 of Book 2 of the Netherlands vl ode
and
• such nternal control as management determnes s
necessary to enable the preparaton of the Fnancal
Statements that are free from materal msstatement,
whether due to fraud or error
In preparng the Fnancal Statements, the Drectors are
responsble for assessng the roup’s and Unlever NV’s ablty
to contnue as a gong concern Based on the fnancal reportng
frameworks mentoned, the Drectors should prepare the
onsoldated Fnancal Statements and NV ompany Accounts
usng the gong concern bass of accountng unless the Drectors
ether ntend to lqudate the roup and/or Unlever NV or
to cease operatons, or have no realstc alternatve but to do
so The Drectors should dsclose n the Fnancal Statements
events and crcumstances that may cast sgnfcant doubt
on the roup’s and/or Unlever NV’s ablty to contnue as
a gong concern
The Audt ommttee s responsble for overseeng the roup’s
fnancal reportng process

manner that allows us to obtan suffcent and approprate audt
