Startng dates of our Executve Drectors’ servce contracts
• Paul Polman 1 October 2008 (sgned on 7 October 2008) and
• Jean-Marc Hut 1 February 2010 (sgned on 19 March 2010) and termnated wth effect from 1 October 2015
The EO’s servce contract shall end upon termnaton and s avalable to shareholders to vew at the AMs or on request from the

Servce contracts can be termnated wth 12 months’ notce from Unlever or sx months’ notce from the Executve Drector A payment n
leu of notce can be made of no more than one year’s base salary, fxed allowance and other benefts unless the Boards, at the proposal of
the ommttee, fnd ths manfestly unreasonable gven the crcumstances or unless dctated by applcable law Other payments that can
be made to Executve Drectors n the event of loss of offce are dsclosed n our Remuneraton Polcy whch s avalable on our webste

Jean-Marc Hut tendered hs resgnaton as FO and as an Executve Drector of Unlever on 18 May 2015 He remaned an employee and
Executve Drector untl 1 October 2015, actvely engaged n the busness and ensurng a handover of all responsbltes He contnued to
receve hs regular salary, fxed allowance and benefts untl 1 October 2015 The sngle fgure remuneraton table on page 71 detals the
remuneraton Jean-Marc Hut receved durng 2015
Based on hs personal performance the ommttee determned that Jean-Marc Hut would receve an annual bonus, pro-rated to
1 October 2015, as shown on page 73
In accordance wth the Remuneraton Polcy and the relevant SIP and MIP share plan rules, the ommttee has exercsed ts
dscreton to treat Jean-Marc Hut as a ‘good leaver’ n respect of the 2013 SIP and MIP awards vestng 18 February 2016 These
awards wll be pro-rated to 87% reflectng Jean-Marc Hut’s length of servce wthn the vestng perod and wll vest at 98%
The followng outstandng share awards held by Jean-Marc Hut have vestng dates n the future and lapsed n full upon hs departure
from Unlever, n accordance wth the rules of each plan
