Startng dates of our Executve Drectors’ servce contracts
• Paul Polman 1 October 2008 (sgned on 7 October 2008) and
• Jean-Marc Hut 1 February 2010 (sgned on 19 March 2010) and termnated wth effect from 1 October 2015
The EO’s servce contract shall end upon termnaton and s avalable to shareholders to vew at the AMs or on request from the

Servce contracts can be termnated wth 12 months’ notce from Unlever or sx months’ notce from the Executve Drector A payment n
leu of notce can be made of no more than one year’s base salary, fxed allowance and other benefts unless the Boards, at the proposal of
the ommttee, fnd ths manfestly unreasonable gven the crcumstances or unless dctated by applcable law Other payments that can
be made to Executve Drectors n the event of loss of offce are dsclosed n our Remuneraton Polcy whch s avalable on our webste

Jean-Marc Hut tendered hs resgnaton as FO and as an Executve Drector of Unlever on 18 May 2015 He remaned an employee and
Executve Drector untl 1 October 2015, actvely engaged n the busness and ensurng a handover of all responsbltes He contnued to
receve hs regular salary, fxed allowance and benefts untl 1 October 2015 The sngle fgure remuneraton table on page 71 detals the
remuneraton Jean-Marc Hut receved durng 2015
Based on hs personal performance the ommttee determned that Jean-Marc Hut would receve an annual bonus, pro-rated to
1 October 2015, as shown on page 73
In accordance wth the Remuneraton Polcy and the relevant SIP and MIP share plan rules, the ommttee has exercsed ts
dscreton to treat Jean-Marc Hut as a ‘good leaver’ n respect of the 2013 SIP and MIP awards vestng 18 February 2016 These
awards wll be pro-rated to 87% reflectng Jean-Marc Hut’s length of servce wthn the vestng perod and wll vest at 98%
The followng outstandng share awards held by Jean-Marc Hut have vestng dates n the future and lapsed n full upon hs departure
from Unlever, n accordance wth the rules of each plan
