In 2015 we have focused more on
contnuous mprovement and beng
equpped to maxmse growth
opportuntes Importantly, we have
looked at addressng organsatonal
desgn prncples as enablers to delver
a leaner structure that s organsed
n the most effcent and effectve way,
drvng speed and aglty
rowth opportuntes have also come
through acqustons and we welcomed
several new busnesses requrng dfferent
support to ensure new colleagues can
ntegrate and beneft from Unlevers sze
and scale whle ensurng ther growth-
focused, entrepreneural cultures
are preserved
Notable acqustons have ncluded
four premum skn care busnesses,
Dermalogca, Murad, Kate Somervlle
and REN, whch form our new Prestge
busness wthn Personal are We also
acqured the amay and Zest brands, and
added rom, the premum gelato busness,
to our Refreshment category All n all we
welcomed more than 2,300 new employees
to the Unlever roup
Another sgnfcant proect has been
the formaton of the Bakng, ookng
and Spreads busness wthn the Foods
category, whch has created a more
dedcated, focused organsaton to
brng greater speed and aglty to
executng strategy

Busness flourshes n socetes where
human rghts are respected, upheld and
advanced People are our greatest asset
and empowerng them s not only the rght
thng to do, but also ensures a sustanable
future for Unlever
To make ths a realty, n 2014 Unlever
formalsed ts commtment to respectng
human rghts as part of the USLP and
announced t would mplement the UN
udng Prncples on Busness and
Human Rghts, and undertake to report
publcly on progress
To that end we became the frst company
to adopt the UN udng Prncples
Reportng Framework and n June 2015
we were the frst company to produce a
detaled, stand-alone report usng the
Framework enttled Enhancng
Lvelhoods, Advancng Human Rghts
Ths s Unlever’s Human Rghts Report,

It focuses on Unlever’s eght salent
human rghts ssues – those at rsk
of the most severe negatve mpacts
through a company’s actvtes or
busness relatonshps
The report hghlghts challenges and key
areas of progress, ncludng Unlever’s
work to empower women, the fght aganst
sexual harassment and how we are
addressng health and safety ssues
across the supply chan Dalogue, capacty
buldng and, where needed, effectve
remedy are vtal to these efforts
