LVMH 2015
Inspiration & Creation
In November 2015, at the LVMH Tower in New
York, TAG Heuer unveiled an innovation devel-
oped in close collaboration with Intel and Google:
the fi rst connected watch designed by a Swiss
luxury watchmaker. TAG Heuer’s luxury watches
have been renowned for over 150 years. Now,
the TAG Heuer Connected is powered by Intel
technology, and benefi ts from everything the
Android Wear universe has to o er. It combines
cutting-edge digital innovation with more than
a century of watchmaking expertise, timeless
esthetics and quality. TAG Heuers history is
replete with technological advances, and, after
more than a century, the Maison is still a leader
in innovation. The TAG Heuer Connected has
broken the digital barrier to meet the needs of
a di erent clientele, who insist on a combination
of design and technology.
The TAG Heuer Connected’s design is that of
a true chronograph. Its casing and fi xtures are
made from grade 2 titanium, a material that
ensures a lighter and more impact-resistant
watch than the traditional steel or gold. With a
textured rubber strap and a deploying buckle,
it has all the elegance, character and high level
of fi nish expected from a fi ne wristwatch.
With its sapphire crystal touchscreen, the TAG
Heuer Connected is decidedly high-tech. TAG
Heuer has developed three digital watch faces
with the immediately recognizable features of the
Carrera collection: its hands, markings, and coun-
ters. For connectivity, the watch o ers the entire
Android Wear environment, along with Google
apps like Fit, Maps, and Translate. The TAG Heuer
Connected is simple and readable at all times,
so the user can stay focused on the essential,
without spoiling the watch’s classic appearance.
Jean-Claude Biver, president of the LVMH Group’s
watches division and TAG Heuer’s CEO, notes:
“We are incredibly proud to be unveiling the
rst connected watch, which brings more than
150 years of history fi rmly into the future. The
TAG Heuer Connected not only allows you to
connect to the future; it allows you to connect
to eternity.” #ConnectToEternity
