The majority of current asset investments are held for periods ranging from one day to one year.
Available-for-sale
Available-for-sale current assets consist of floating rate liquidity fund deposits denominated in Sterling of £185m (2009: £97m), Euros
of £56m (2009: £43m) and US Dollars of £17m (2009: £13m) which are immediately accessible to the group to manage liquidity.
Loans and receivables
Loans and receivables mainly consist of term deposits denominated in Sterling with a fixed interest rate.
