1.1.4.1.1 Promoting innovation and growth
A powerful force in in-house design
Inaneconomicenvironmentthatinvolvesmajorchallenges,itismoreimportantthaneverfortheGroup
tocontinuetoinvestinthefuture.
Ubisoft has the second-largest internal creative force in the industry. This is a crucial advantage in a
constantly changing environment. Having its own development studios allows Ubisoft to guarantee the
quality of its products while remaining responsive and flexible. Thanks to its teams, the Group is in a position
to seize quickly any opportunities that present themselves, whether these are linked to the market, consoles
or technology.
Ubisoft’s workforce continued to grow during the 2009/2010 financial year. In particular, the Group
developed through the opening of a new studio in Toronto, Canada, which benefited from public subsidies
linked to its presence and development in the province.
In total, over 600 employees joined the Group during the 2009/2010 financial year, which represents an
increase in the workforce of around 11 % since March 31, 2009.
Ubisoft is also continuing to develop partnerships with universities to attract and train the best talents to work
in video games.
Ubisoft’s success has become one of its main selling points: for example, over 350,000 unique visitors to the
Group's recruitment site have been counted since April 2009.

