NOTE 7
LEASING OPERATIONS
As the former manufacturer of the regional aircra Saab and Saab ,
Saab has a major interest in ensuring that these aircra maintain high capac-
ity utilisation. Over aircra have been delivered and are included in
Saab’s leasing eet. Income from leasing operations (Saab Aircra Leasing) is
recognised net through prot and loss on the lines other operating income or
other operating expenses aer osetting the loss risk reserve. Saab Aircra
Leasing’s income statement and balance sheet are largely -related, since
its agreements on the sale and lease of aircra are in , which is its func-
tional currency. e exchange rates used for translation of the nancial state-
ments are indicated in Note .
