Operations include the development of civil and military
aviation technology at a high level. The product portfolio
includes the Gripen fighter and Unmanned Aerial Systems
(UAS). Aeronautics also manufactures aircraft components
for Saab’s own aircraft as well as passenger aircraft pro-
duced by others.
SALES, INCOME AND ORDERS
Orders received
Orders received in  included an order from FMV for six Gripen
aircra intended for the Royal ai Air Force and several orders
concerning development of the Gripen system, including an order
for the integration of the active radar-guided Beyond Visual Range
(BVR) missile, Meteor. An order for a Tactical Unmanned Aerial
Vehicle system (TUAV) was also received from FMV. Airbus re-
ceived orders related to the A programme that resulted in an
increase in order bookings of MSEK  for Aeronautics in .
Orders received where the order sum was more than MSEK 
represented  per cent () of total order bookings.
Sales
Sales decreased by  per cent compared to . e decrease is
mainly related to lower project activity levels in major contracts,
such as the Gripen aircra deliveries to ailand and South Africa,
compared to last year.
Markets outside Sweden accounted for  per cent () of sales
in .
Income and margin
Protability in  improved compared to  due the eects
of the reorganisation of Aeronautics, announced lay-os and the
Billion+ programme.
Total restructuring charges of MSEK  were taken in .
Operating cash flow
Operating cash ow in  improved mainly as a result of advances
received in major projects.
Some projects entered the nal stages of completion in .
When they are completed, it will lead to a reduction in customer
advances and a lower cash ow generation.
