Saab’s operations contribute to security and stability in the
world. In accordance with our vision, we work every day to
make people feel safe.
e United Nations Charter gives every nation the right to protect
itself and its citizens. is right applies regardless of whether the
nation has its own defence industry. Saabs vision is based on an
eort to keep society and those of us who live here safe. By improv-
ing and upgrading technological systems and solutions, we increase
security in society and for its citizens, including those whose job it is
to maintain security. We also provide insight into how threats
against security change and develop innovative solutions to keep
society safe.
Saabs vision and core values – expertise, trust and ambition – are
the guiding principles in our operations and how we take responsibil-
ity. ey are fundamental to our existence.
Saabs values are:
EXPERTISE – We combine a strong history of knowledge with con-
tinuous learning.
TRUST – We are honest and reliable citizens of the world and we
keep our promises.
AMBITION – We have a passion for innovation, we are open to
change and are committed to being fast and exible.
Success demands responsibility
To be as successful as possible – and help to make people feel safe –
we have identied four areas that are, and must be, integral to our
business operations:
Business ethics – ere should be no question that we act ethi-
cally in our business operations.
Society – Our operations will contribute to society as a whole as
well as specically to the local communities where we operate.
Employees – We will take responsibility for our employees and
their opportunities to develop and thrive in our organisation.
Environmental – We will minimise the environmental impact of
our operations and contribute to ecological sustainability.
We are convinced that earning trust in our company and operations is
largely based on acting responsibly in these areas. Without this trust, it
is hard for us to continue to develop cutting-edge technology at the
rate we do today. is in turn requires continuous dialogue, positive
relationships with our stakeholders and responsible decisions.
