GDL90TheGDL90isthefirstairborneAutomaticDependentSurveillance‐Broadcast(ADS‐B)
productcertifiedbytheFAAtoTSOC145Astandards.TheGDL90allowspilotsinthe
cockpitandairtrafficcontrollersonthegroundto“see”aircrafttrafficwithmuchmore
precisionthanhaseverbeenpossiblebeforewithoutthecostlyinfrastructureofground
basedtrackingradar.TheGDL90reliesontheinfrastructurethatispartoftheFAA’s
SafeFlight21program.Thisprogramiscurrentlyunderdevelopmentwith
implementationoftheground‐basedportionoftheADS‐Bnetworktakingplacealong
theEastCoastandotherselectedareasoftheU.S.A.AdditionalinstallationsoftheADS‐
Bgroundstationsareplanned.Thegroundstationscantrackaircraftmovementand
eventuallyareexpectedtobeusedtobroadcasttrafficandweatherservices.Pilots
equippedwiththeGDL90andoperatingwithinthegroundstationcoverageareawill
receiveaircrafttrafficandreal‐timeweatherinformationfreeofcharge.
GDL69and69ATheGDL69offerstheabilitytoprovidereal‐timeweatherinformationtotheaircraft
whichcanbedisplayedononeofseveralpanel‐mounteddevices,suchastheGNS430,
GNS530,MX20,andG1000systems.TheGDL69andGDL69Areceivereal‐time
weatherinformationbroadcastbytheXMWXSatelliteradiosystem.Inaddition,the
GDL69AexpandstheutilityofthesystembyprovidingCDqualityaudioprovidedbyXM
SatelliteRadio(separatesubscriptionsforweatherdataandaudiorequired).
GMX200™Alarge(6.5inch)sunlight‐readable,high‐resolution,multi‐functiondisplay.
SL30andSL40TheSL30isacompactVHFnavigationandcommunicationsunitthatcombinesa760‐
channelVHFcommunicationsradiowith200‐channelglideslopeandlocalizerreceivers.
TheSL40isa760‐channelVHFcommunicationsradioonly.BoththeSL30andSL40
feature10wattcommunicationstransmitters.
GWX™68TheGWX68isanall‐in‐oneantenna/receiver/transmitterthatbringsreal‐timeweather
toGarmin’snewestmulti‐functiondisplays.
