With the aim of providing participants with the opportunity
to experience the Company’s products and services
first-hand, Panasonic held Experience Panasonic events in
four major cities including Delhi during fiscal 2012. These
events, were designed to
showcase Panasonic’s focus
on the environment, and
attracted approximately
180,000 visitors. Among a
host of initiatives, the
Company displayed its Life
Innovation Container, a
stand-alone power system that packages
Panasonic’s energy creation, storage and
saving technologies into a single
container.
Organizing Experience Panasonic
Events in India’s Four Major Cities
Panasonic converted Anchor Electricals Private
Limited, a major Electrical Construction Materials
(ECM) company in India, into a wholly owned
subsidiary in 2009. More recently in May 2012,
Anchor acquired a major stake of Firepro Systems
Private Limited, an integrated solutions provider for
fire protection, security and building management
systems for both bolstering its sales of BtoB products
such as ECM and fire
alarms, and expanding
its solutions business
including installation
and maintenance
services.
Expanding Products Handled as well
as Sales Channels
The new 50° Hot-Air dryer, one of the many
products, designed for the Indian market, was
launched by three young actresses who have been
selected to promote Panasonic’s beauty and
healthcare products in India. The Company’s
wide-ranging
promotional initiatives
such as roadshows,
promotions through
mass media and SNSs,
are contributing to
increased sales.
Actively Promoting the Appeal of
Popular Beauty and Healthcare Products
New Showroom Opened in Bollywood
In April 2011, Panasonic opened its second showroom
in India at Bollywood, Mumbai, the heart of the Indian
film industry. Showcasing
Panasonic’s wide ranging
products and solutions,
this facility aims to further
expand the Company’s
BtoB business.
Taking Full Advantage of the Group’s
Comprehensive Strength in India
India is fast on its way to becoming a huge market and offers enormous potential. Panasonic is showcasing
its comprehensive strength to a broad customer base through a variety of initiatives. In addition to organizing
events that allow participants to gain first-hand experience of the Group’s products and services in most major
cities and regional markets, Panasonic is opening showrooms, strengthening BtoB sales, upgrading
and expanding its BtoC product lineup and bolstering sales promotion activities.
