Since its foundation in 1918, Panasonic Corporation has been
guided by its basic management philosophy, which states
that the mission of an enterprise is to contribute to the
progress and development of society and the well-being of

In January 2012, Panasonic undertook a major reorgani-
zation of its Group-wide businesses including Panasonic
Electric Works Co., Ltd. and SANYO Electric Co., Ltd. Through
this process of reorganization, the Company has shifted to
a business model-based structure that focuses on the
perspectives of its customers. Under this new structure, every
effort is channeled toward creating synergies that take full
advantage of the Group’s products, systems, and services.

for life, the Company will continue to enrich the lives of people
around the world and contribute the future of the earth and
the progress of society.
