ITEM 1 — BUSINESS
General
Dell Computer Corporation (the "Company") is the world's largest direct computer systems company, with revenues of $25.3 billion
for the fiscal year ended January 28, 2000. The Company was founded in 1984 by Michael Dell on a simple concept: By selling
computer systems directly to customers, the Company could most efficiently understand and satisfy the computing needs of
customers. The Company offers its customers a full range of computer systems, including desktop computer systems, notebook
