Lady Foot Locker was developed in 1982
to offer athletic footwear and apparel to
women who are active, fashion-con-
scious and brand aware. Today, with
584 stores in the United States, Lady
Foot Locker is the only national special-
ty store chain that focuses on women’s
athletic footwear and apparel. During
2004, the Company plans to continue to
invest in remodeling its Lady Foot
Locker stores, which average 2,200 gross
square feet. In addition, Lady Foot
Locker’s branded and private-label
apparel offerings have been modified to
have more appeal to its target customer:
the 14 to 35 year old woman.
The initial Kids Foot Locker store was
opened in 1987 specifically targeted to
appeal to mothers of 5 to 11 year old
children. Today, Kids Foot Locker oper-
ates 357 stores across the United States
that average 2,400 gross square feet,
offering the latest styles of athletic
footwear and apparel for young boys and
girls. Its product offerings include
branded athletic footwear, supplemented
by branded, licensed and private-label
apparel. Going forward, the Company
plans to continue to build on Kids Foot
Locker’s significant success in 2003, by
working with its well-known third party
suppliers to develop new and exclusive
athletic footwear and apparel products.
