At Omron, we take pride in knowing that our businesses contribute to
a sustainable society. We track and improve global net sales to CO
2
emissions and environmental contribution as two important indicators
of corporate value.
A decrease in sales of power conditioners for solar power generation
led to a 508 thousand ton-CO2
reduction in environmental contribution.
However, this year marked the sixth consecutive year in which
Omron
s environmental contribution exceeded the CO2 emissions of
the Group
s global manufacturing centers (214 thousand ton-CO2).
