て、家庭の中の好きな場所で好きな音楽を気軽に楽しめるワイヤレス対応の
ホームミュージック・ネットワークシステム「MusicCAST®」を発売し、市場の
注目を集めました。また、所期の目的を果たしたフランス・アルザス工場を閉鎖
するなど、生産拠点の集約も進めました。通信カラオケ機器は、新商品が評価
され、引き続き好調に推移しました。
ルーターについては、SOHO、企業向けにビジネスドメインを転換した結果、
商品の信頼性等高評価を受け、増収となりました。特に「RTX1000」は、イン
ターネットVPNの標準的機器として高い評価を受けました。
利益面では、セル生産などの施策を通して徹底したコストダウン、生産性向
上に努めたことや、PC用CD-R/RWドライブからの撤退効果もあり、前期比増
益となりました。
