Itsoundsabitcliché,buttheseaccomplishmentsareallabout
thepeoplewehave,andtheiralignmentwithourvision,which
reallymattersinhowweoperateourcompany.TheManpower
visionwasrevisedin2006to:“Weleadinthecreationanddelivery
ofservicesthatenableourclientstowininthechangingworldof
work,”andithasbecometherudderforhowdecisionsaremade
thataffectthedirectionofourcompany.Attheendoftheday,if
wecanhelpourclientswinintheircompetitivemarketplaces,
theywillviewusasamorevaluablepartner.It’sthatsimple.
Thestrengthbehindourvisionisdrivenbyourfivecorebusiness
strategies:revenue,efficiency,innovation,thoughtleadership
andorganization&culture.Thesealsowererevisedin2006and
aredrivingthelong-termobjectivesthatwearestrivingtoachieve
acrossthecompany.Akeytoourfutureisourfocusoncombining
theassetsoftheManpowergroupofcompaniestogenerate
breakthroughperformanceandgrowthaswemoveinto2007
and2008.Weareconfidentthatwehavebeenabletoposition
ourselvesverywelltobetherelevantfactorinthistalentmarket-
placefortheindividual,andatrueglobalreferencepointforclients,
bothlargeandsmall,astheyareconfronteddailywiththedifficult
challengesofmanagingthetalentshortagesacrosstheworld.
Ourspecialtyservices,whichcurrentlyaccountfornearly30
percentofourgrossprofit,willcontinuetogrowandbecome
evenmoreimportanttoourbusinessmix.Webelievethat,with
thecombinedforceofourManpowerProfessional,Right
Management,JeffersonWellsandElanbrands,wewillbeableto
growthosespecialtyservicestocollectivelybecomeoverathird
ofourgrossprofit.Wewillaccomplishthisgrowth,ofcourse,by
growingourcurrentclientbases,inadditiontoexpandingthe
networkandinfrastructureofourspecialtycompanies,like
JeffersonWells,whichwillbeopeningmoreinternational
officesin2007.Additionally,wearerealigningthefootprintfor
RightManagementtomatchtheneedsofthebusinesses,as
outplacementmodelsarebeingchangedbasedonthecurrent
marketplace.In2006,wealsostrengthenedourcompetitive
positioningbyre-brandingeachofthespecialtybrandstoshow
howtheyareconnectedtoManpower,andbyleveragingthe
strengthoftheManpowerbrand,whilealsotakingcaretokeep
thesebrandsseparatetomaximizetheiridentityandrecognize
thedifferenceinbusinessmodels.
Attheendofthe
day,ifwecanhelp
ourclientswinin
theircompetitive
marketplaces,
theywillviewus
asamorevaluable
