Dennis Reinbold is President and owner of Dreyer & Reinbold, Inc. of
Indianapolis, Indiana, a multi-franchise group of automobile dealerships
that sell BMW, Infiniti, Volkswagen and Mini Cooper vehicles.
With combined annual sales at around $150 million, Dennis devotes
a great deal of time to the enterprise, overseeing and motivating his staff
of 200. However, on any given day, you’re not likely to find him anywhere
near his dealerships. Nor will you find it easy to catch up with him.
You see, Dennis is on a fast track in pursuit of his other passion – auto
racing. Dennis is owner of the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Team founded
in 1998, competing in the Indy Racing League (IRL). His clear goals are
winning the Indianapolis 500 and overall league championship.
Obviously, Dennis relies heavily on his management team to keep
things running smoothly back home, just as his racecar drivers rely on
their pit crews. And for their banking needs, Dennis and his staff rely on
the crew at Huntington, headed by Dealer Sales Senior Vice President
and Regional Manager Al Graham. It makes for an interesting bank-
customer interface.
“Being busy with motorsports and traveling a lot, says Dennis,
“it’s extremely important to me to be able to pick up the phone and call
someone and say I need to get this done. When I call Al, its never a
problem the response is always timely.
Case in point: the purchase of a property adjacent to one of the
dealerships. “Sometimes it’s hard to put a real estate deal together
quickly because of all the documentation required, says Al. “But in
this case, we were able to simplify the process. We arranged a loan, the
property was purchased and the deal was closed expeditiously. Dennis
was very pleased.
Huntington provides the entire Dreyer & Reinbold dealerships
inventory financing, along with Treasury Management services, corporate
checking and dealer investment accounts. The dealership also uses
Huntingtons loan and lease products to finance their new and used
vehicle sales.
Al points to Huntingtons local presence, local decision-making and
exceptional internal teamwork “not only here but in Columbus, in the
overall administration and loan approval processes” as keys to landing
the Dreyer & Reinbold account…and keys to giving the client the inside
track to superior service.
Dreyer & Reinbold: bringing
dealership banking up to speed.
