Dow announces a new business structure and executive
leadership appointments. The new, streamlined model
serves as the catalyst for driving the next level of
efficiencies and earnings growth.
Dow begins production of ENLIGHTTM Polyolefin
Encapsulant Films at its new facility in Map Ta Phut,
Thailand, doubling its global capacity for the specialty
films used in photovoltaic solar modules.
Dow Electronic Materials introduces its new IKONICTM
polishing pad platform, bringing to market Dow’s most
advanced polishing pads for chemical mechanical
planarization (CMP). This innovation helps customers
increase yields and lower cost of ownership.
Dow AgroSciences has a strong launch and selling season
with POWERCORETM insect trait technology in Brazil and
Argentina. The innovative solution to control major pests

stacked trait to be approved in either country. The launch

introduction of novel plant biotechnology products globally.
Dow enters into a marketing agreement in which
the Company will market and sell the majority of products
produced by Sadara Chemical Company, its joint venture
with Saudi Aramco. Dow will leverage its global marketing

and specialty chemical products to market in fast-growing
regions, including Asia Pacific, Central and Eastern Europe,
Africa and India.
Dow announces the launch of TEQUATICTM PLUS
filter specifically designed to handle difficult-to-treat
water much more cost-effectively compared to current
technologies, which require high consumables. The
technology is well-suited as a pretreatment to reverse
osmosis and to treat produced water from oil and
gas operations.
Dow announces broader availability of its breakthrough
DOW POWERHOUSETM Solar Shingle system, bringing
the technology to homeowners in New York, Connecticut,
Maryland, Massachusetts, Louisiana, Michigan and the
District of Columbia. Earlier in 2012, Dow piloted its solar
roofing system in Colorado, Northern California and
Central Texas.
Dow AgroSciences is granted a U.S. patent covering crop
plants containing an innovative class of herbicide-tolerant
traits. The patented trait has shown exceptional promise for
use in soybeans and cotton as it conveys robust tolerance
to broadleaf herbicides such as 2,4-D and is part of the
Companys EnlistTM Weed Control System.
Dow’s propylene glycol facility in Map Ta Phut, Thailand,
comes online, with production expected to ramp up in
early 2013.








