ComEd
ComEd’s electric substations and a portion of its transmission rights of way are located on property that ComEd owns. A significant portion
of its electric transmission and distribution facilities is located above or underneath highways, streets, other public places or property that others
own. ComEd believes that it has satisfactory rights to use those places or property in the form of permits, grants, easements, licenses and
franchise rights; however, it has not necessarily undertaken to examine the underlying title to the land upon which the rights rest.
Transmission and Distribution
ComEd’s higher voltage electric transmission lines owned and in service at December 31, 2015 were as follows:

ComEd’s electric distribution system includes 35,419 circuit miles of overhead lines and 31,040 circuit miles of underground lines.
First Mortgage and Insurance
The principal properties of ComEd are subject to the lien of ComEd’s Mortgage dated July 1, 1923, as amended and supplemented, under
which ComEd’s First Mortgage Bonds are issued.
ComEd maintains property insurance against loss or damage to its properties by fire or other perils, subject to certain exceptions. For its
insured losses, ComEd is self-insured to the extent that any losses are within the policy deductible or exceed the amount of insurance maintained.
Any such losses could have a material adverse effect on the consolidated financial condition or results of operations of ComEd.
PECO
PECO’s electric substations and a significant portion of its transmission lines are located on property that PECO owns. A significant portion
of its electric transmission and distribution facilities is located above or underneath highways, streets, other public places or property that others
own. PECO believes that it has satisfactory rights to use those places or property in the form of permits, grants, easements and licenses;
however, it has not necessarily undertaken to examine the underlying title to the land upon which the rights rest.
