program. She also takes
advantage of the free SmartTemp
programmable thermostat.
Electric vehicles
The manufacturing and
sales of electric vehicles
is growing. Leading by

encourage the adoption
of EVs, beginning with a
transition of the company’s
passenger car fleet.

Energy efficiency education
The NBA Oklahoma City Thunder mascot
Rumble the Bison approves of program-
mable thermostats to support energy
efficiency. Visitors to oge.com can watch
a video featuring Rumble’s tips to save
energy and money on electric bills.
Solar
OG&E’s solar pilot launched in 2014.
The pilot is testing the deployment
and operation of rooftop and
community solar on grid safety,
maintenance and reliability.
LED street lighting
Enabled by the smart grid,
new LED street lights throughout
OG&E’s service area will include a
communications device that will send
commands each day to turn the light
on or off at specified times.
Backup generation
A backup generation product
will provide small business
and residential customers the
confidence that they will
always have electricity
when they need it.
