Robert Romasco (Secretary/Treasurer)
Robert Romasco, MBA, is AARP’s Secretary/Treasurer, and in this capacity chairs the Board Audit
and Finance Committee. He also serves on AARP’s Insurance Trust. Mr. Romasco is experienced
in strategy development, marketing positioning and brand construction, operations management,
and organizational change. He was a senior vice president at the Quality Value Convenience (QVC)
retail television network, and served as executive vice president and chief marketing ofcer of
CIGNA Health Care Systems. Previously, he served on the AARP Andrus Foundation’s board of
trustees.
Yash Aggarwal
Yash Aggarwal, PhD, JD, serves on the Board Governance Committee, the National Nominating
Committee, and AARP’s National Policy Council. Dr. Aggarwal retired from MetLife and from
Sensearth, Inc., a seismic risk consultation corporation. He was the rst person to successfully
predict an earthquake using scientic methods. He founded IndiaPAC (India-U.S. Political Action
Committee) to foster better relations between the U.S. and India, and chaired the non-prot Asian-
American Coalition, which facilitated Asian-American integration into the U.S. mainstream.
Gail Aldrich
Gail E. Aldrich serves on the Board Member Value/Social Impact Committee. She is principal of
the Aldrich Partnership. Previously, she was chief membership ofcer for the Society for Human
Resource Management, and senior vice president and chief administrative ofcer of the California
State Automobile Association. Ms. Aldrich has been a board director for Lifeprint, which helps
re-entry and low-income women secure employment. She is president of the Los Altos-Mountain
View branch of the American Association of University Women.
Cora L. Christian
Cora L. Christian, M.D., MPH, serves on the AARP Insurance Trust and on the Board Governance
Committee. She is the rst native female of the U.S. Virgin Islands to become a medical doctor.
She founded the Virgin Islands Medical Institute, Inc. and currently serves as the Health Care
Quality Improvement Medical Director. She is also chief medical consultant to Hovensa, LLC.
This practicing family physician is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians’
Commission on Government and Legislative Affairs.
