O lympus creates such g ro undbreaking products as dig ital cameras
throug h opto -digital technolo gy, a fusio n of o ptical and advanced digital
techno lo gies. O lympus maintains excellence in all four o f its pro duct g ro ups: the
Imaging Systems G ro up, which includes digital cameras, film cameras, voice
recorders and magneto -optical disk drives; the Medical Systems G ro up, which o ffers
medical endosco pes that lead the wo rld market and minimally invasive products; the Life
Science G roup with diagno stic systems, biolo gical micro sco pes and analytical services for
genomic informatio n; and the Industrial Systems G ro up, comprising industrial microsco pes,
industria l endo sco pes, printers, barco de data processing devices, and measuring
equipment. O n O cto ber 1 , 2004, O lympus plans to split o ff the Imaging Systems
G ro up into O lympus Imaging Corp. and the Medical Systems Gro up into
O lympus Medical Systems Co rp. W e are also moving to split o ff
related overseas affiliates. Uniting diverse technolo gies, the
group will co ntinue to pro vide technolo gy and pro ducts that
o ffer new value in the daily lives of peo ple wo rldwide.
