(39) Liabilities from financial services
Liabilities from financial services are as follows:
The increase in liabilities from financial services pri-
marily results from the acquisition of DSL Bank.
Liabilities from financial services are reported at amounts
repayable. Differences between amounts paid out and
the repayment amount (premium, discount) are rec-
ognized or written down over the remaining term of
the liability concerned with an effect on income.Pro-
rated accrued interest is reported together with the re-
spective liability.
Remaining terms to maturity for liabilities from finan-
cial services are as follows:

Other liabilities are classified as follows:
The increase in deferred income is mainly due to the
securities business of the former DSL Bank,which was
acquired on January 1,2000.
