Group reporting changes
Barclays announced on 16th June 2006 the impact of certain changes in Group
structure and reporting on the 2005 and 2004 results.
Barclays realigned a number of reportable business segments based on the
reorganisation of certain portfolios better to reflect the type of client served, the
nature of the products offered and the associated risks and rewards. The Group's
policy for the internal cost of funding and the segmental disclosure of risk weighted
assets was also revised with effect from 1st January 2006. The reclassifications had
no impact on the Group Income Statement or Balance sheet.
