Supplier payment policies
Individual operating companies are responsible for agreeing the terms and conditions under w hich business transactions w ith their
suppliers are conducted. The directors reports of United Kingdom operating companies give information about their supplier payment
policies as required by the United Kingdom Companies Act 1985. PLC, as a holding company, does not itself make any relevant
payments in this respect.
Interests in land
The majority of Unilever’s land and buildings are used for the productive and distributive activities of the Group and are not held for resale.
The directors take the view that any difference between their market value and the amount at w hich they are included in the balance sheet
is not of such signicance as to require that attention be drawn to it, as would be required by Schedule 7 (Part I) of the United Kingdom
Companies Act 1985.
Auditors
A resolution w ill be proposed at the Annual General Meeting on 9 M ay 2001 for the reappointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers as auditors
of PLC. The present appointment w ill end at the conclusion of the Annual General M eeting.
