Breakdown of revenues by region
A breakdown by region shows that 80% of Tiscali’s revenues are generated in the five biggest European markets. Italy, France and the
UK account for around 20% each, and Benelux and Germany for 10%.
Revenues in smaller markets such as Spain, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Austria and South Africa remained broadly
stable.
Gross margin
Increased efficiency enabled Tiscali to generate gross profit of EUR 455.1 million, or 51% of total revenues. This was a 25% increase
compared with 2002, when the gross margin stood at 49%.
