WE BUILD PREFERRED BRANDS
In 1914, JCPenney introduced its first
private label, Marathon Hats, a line
of elegant fedoras and cowboy hats
for men. Over time, new brands like
Staord®, Worthington®, St. John’s Ba
and The Original Arizona Jean Co.®
emerged and have grown to become
customer favorites. They’re so loved,
in fact, many people think they’re
national brands.
Today, the Company boasts more than
50 private brands in all areas of the
store — each one meeting the needs
of a dierent customer segment
and oering incredible quality at a
great value.
From tried-and-true favorites to newer
brands like Ambrielle, a.n.a® and
Xersion™, we tailor our selection to fit customers’ changing needs. Our industry-leading product development
initiatives include brand management, trend, design, international sourcing, logistics, technology, quality control/
testing facilities and inventory management. Together, these initiatives create a unique advantage that allows us to
oer these brands at a lower price, and of course, only at JCPenney.
only at JCPenney In February 2014, JCPenney
reintroduced Ambrielle after an
overwhelming customer response
to restore this popular intimates
brand. An in-house team of
designers reinvented the line using
sumptuous fabrics that take into
account the diversity of female
shapes and sizes. With more than
80 choices in panties, and 60 in
bras, Ambrielle blends fashion and
function to provide everyday
support for any occasion.
