opportunities, including the meetings of the Board of Directors. At the same time, I will work to strengthen
management supervisory functions in order to even better serve the interests of all of our shareholders.
In June 2013, a new president of Toshiba Group was appointed and a new management team was
put in place. I will continue to supervise Toshiba Group’s management from a broad viewpoint, including
our corporate governance systems, so that business operations on the management side can be carried
out in a solid manner. Working together with the new management team, I will do all I can to ensure that
Toshiba Group will make a further leap ahead as a global corporation.
