player for professional DJs and clubs that
uses Wi-Fi and USB connectivity for DJ
playback of music stored in smartphones
and tablet devices
Released the SC-LX86 AV amplifi ers, with
powerful 9-channel simultaneous output
and featuring enhanced network func-
tionality, in Japan
Pioneer Yorkey do Brasil Ltda., a manufac-
turing joint venture established in Brazil
with Taiwan’s Asia Optical Group, com-
menced manufacturing
Released new Cyber Navi car navigation
system in Japan, featuring the world’s fi rst
augmented reality (AR) head-up display
(HUD), which projects viewable navigation
information beyond the windshield
Released the “carrozzeria smartphone
link Appli Unit” in Japan, which allows for
smartphone application to be operated
from main unit’s touch panel
Together with Mitsubishi Chemical
Corporation, successfully developed organic
light-emitting-diode (OLED) elements
using a printing process for the emission
layers, which is suitable for mass production,
and developed commercially viable long-
life, high-effi ciency OLED lighting panels
Released the X-HM81 high-end micro
hi-fi system with enhanced network
functionality
Boothed at IFA 2012 in Germany, the
world’s largest electronics trade show,
and featured reference exhibit of AR HUD
car navigation systems
Sponsored fi nal round of DANCE@LIVE,
Japan’s largest street dance event
