Based on our Group Philosophy of “Move the Heart and Touch the Soul,” Pioneer aims to meet
the social needs of a diverse range of stakeholders through sound corporate activities, to continue to be a
company that is trusted by society.
Pioneers corporate citizenship activities focus on the areas of audio & visual, environmental protection,
and educational support, and primarily involve employee participation in voluntary activities that utilize
expertise and technological capabilities related to our businesses, with the aim of having employees
proactively contribute to society.
Our environmental preservation activities seek to address such major environmental issues as “Preventing
Global Warming,” “Conservation of Resources and Recycling,” and “Management of Chemical Substances,” with
the aim of developing products with zero environmental impact. In addition to reducing environmental impact
throughout the entire products life cycle, from planning and design to disposal and recycling, we promote
the development of products that customers will choose for their superior environmental features, through
internal programs including environmental assessments for products and an environmental evaluation system.
“Listen through the Body” Concert Program
Marks 20th Anniversary
Using Pioneer-developed vibrating acoustic systems
that convert sounds into vibrations to bring the joy
of music to people with hearing difficulties, Pioneer
has been holding “Listen through the Body” con-
certs continuously since 1992. Pioneer employees
and their families volunteer to handle the concerts’
operations, and this year marked the program’s
20th anniversary. Special concerts featuring fla-
menco and big band jazz performances were held
to commemorate this anniversary, and many people
enjoyed these impressive performances.
