Included within long-term debt is dated loan capital and debts securities in issue.
Purchase obligations relate to contracts for the provision of services such as office supplies, telecommunications and maintenance and sponsorship
agreements where the Bank has entered into legally binding contracts to purchase products or services over a specified period of time.
Other long-term liabilities relate to obligations relating to the Group’s main defined benefit pension plans. Amounts are based on current and
projected obligations of the plans, performance of plan assets and participant contributions.
