Profit
Profit before tax was ¥118,249 million, while profit for the year was ¥92,941 million, representing increases of
38.3% and 54.5%, respectively. These were supported by improved profitability in the Information Technology
segment and foreign exchange conversion gains resulting from the strengthening of the U.S. dollar against the yen
and euro.
The ratio of profit before tax to sales was 24.1%, a 4.1 percentage point increase from the preceding fiscal year’s
20.0%.
