The positive difference of €818.4 million was recognized as good-
will. This results in particular from intangible assets that are not
recognizable, for example the ability of AZ to develop new
solutions and products in its technologically innovative industry
as well as from anticipated synergy effects expected from the
integration of AZ into the Group.
