Customers’ Lives
On behalf of LG Electronics, I extend my heartfelt thanks to our customers who
have been with us since the beginning with unwavering support. At LG Electronics, 2006
marked the 48th anniversary since the inception of our business in 1958. Now facing a half
century of operation, our present standing seems particularly meaningful for us as our
corporate history is often dubbed as the entire history of the electronics industry in Korea.
During this time, we have built our strength and grown to sufficiently compete with others in
the electronics, information and communications industries globally. During the past half
century, numerous companies have come and gone. However, we have managed to realize
steady growth. Presently, we aspire to achieve our vision to rank among the “Global Top 3”
Electronics and telecommunications companies by 2010. Behind our steady growth stands
the seamless teamwork of our dedicated employees who have combined their efforts within a
culture of challenge and change. However,the prime factor of the growth has been the trust
and support of our customers.
We believe that customers are essential for the servival of our company. And in
response, our management objectives address our commitment to put it all on the line to
meet out customers’ needs. Our customer-oriented objectives are not written in a book but
practiced as fundamental management principles. From our first product, the radio, to today’s
industry-leading digital TVs and mobile phones, all our products have been derived from the
hearts of our customers. We think and rethink in creating each product, wanting to bring
