Walter Scheurle
Personnel
Born 1952. He began his career in 1967 w ith an
apprenticeship at Deutsche Post. From 1979, he
held various full-time positions for the German
postal workers’ union, Deutsche Postgewerkschaft.
He was also a member of the European Commission’s
Joint Committee on postal services. As a member
of the Postgewerkschaft’s National Executive, since
1995 he has been responsible for postal policy, edu-
cational policy and youth affairs. In the same year,
he became a member of the Supervisory Board of
Deutsche Post AG, and has been a member of the
Board of Management since April 1, 2000.
