2015 Annual Report 9
Winning Team,
Performance Culture
Creating a winning culture is essential to our success.
Part of that success will come from consistent, reliable
nancial performance. Equally important will be the
contributions made by our trusted professionals,
empowered with tools, technology and training to deliver
memorable service to more than 75,000 homes and
businesses each day.
The winning culture we’re trying to create is reected in
our 2015 business results. But a strong corporate culture
requires a common understanding of the behaviors we all
need to have – and to hold each other accountable. Over
time, those behaviors become the norm; and eventually,
the norm becomes the culture. For us, the culture begins
with our people.
In 2015, we invested in programs to develop the next
generation of ServiceMaster leaders, including our
ServiceMaster Leadership Program for mid-career
professionals, now in its third year. Our executive
mentoring program creates one-on-one interaction with
our most senior leaders for some of our best and brightest
talent. In 2015, we also tapped into the millennial labor
market, visiting more than 34 college campuses around
the country to recruit undergraduates for exciting and
diverse career opportunities; from eld management to
corporate roles in IT, marketing, nance and operations.
Meanwhile, an energized new ServiceMaster culture is
shaped every day by 13,000 highly engaged employees.
Driven by a performance-based culture that rewards
both results and behaviors, our employees are helping an
87-year-old company position itself as a residential and
commercial services technology leader in the new digital-
mobile era.
We’re combining speed and convenience with an
unmatched network of experts who protect and maintain
homes and businesses as vigorously as we would our
own. Together, we believe it’s a winning formula for
serving our customers for many years to come.
My goal is to deliver a quality
product to my customer. I look at
the most critical factors impacting a
projects implementation and nd
the best solution for success.
