during 2012 compared to 2011. Same facility inpatient surgeries declined 1.7% and same facility outpatient
surgeries declined 0.6% during 2011 compared to 2010. Same facility emergency room visits increased 8.6%
during 2012 compared to 2011 and increased 6.2% during 2011 compared to 2010.
Same facility uninsured emergency room visits increased 8.9% and same facility uninsured admissions
increased 9.7% during 2012 compared to 2011. Same facility uninsured emergency room visits increased 5.8%
and same facility uninsured admissions increased 7.4% during 2011 compared to 2010.

At December 31, 2012, we owned and operated 38 hospitals and 32 surgery centers in the state of Florida.
Our Florida facilities’ revenues totaled $7.336 billion, $6.989 billion and $6.538 billion for the years ended
December 31, 2012, 2011 and 2010, respectively. At December 31, 2012, we owned and operated 36 hospitals
and 23 surgery centers in the state of Texas. Our Texas facilities’ revenues totaled $8.012 billion, $7.829 billion
and $7.597 billion for the years ended December 31, 2012, 2011 and 2010, respectively. During 2012, 2011 and
2010, respectively, 55%, 57% and 57% of our admissions and 47%, 50% and 50% of our revenues were
generated by our Florida and Texas facilities. Uninsured admissions in Florida and Texas represented 61%, 63%
and 63% of our uninsured admissions during 2012, 2011 and 2010, respectively.
